JSPS Core-to Core Program-”The 3rd International Symposium on Formulation of the Cooperation Hub for Global Environmental Studies in the Indochina Region” and “The 10th Inter-University Workshop on Education and Research Collaboration in the Indochina Region” will be held as follows;

In this symposium, we will give an overview of our past achievements. Besides, we will discuss future possibilities for international academic collaboration in education and researches and consider practical contributions to the Indochina society through collaboration with private companies, aiming at solutions of global environmental problems in the rapidly progressing Indochina region.

Date: July 27(MON) 9:00-17:30 (Vietnam time)

Venue: University of Danang, Danang, Vietnam

Participation fee for Symposium: Free of charge

Language: English (In part, Japanese and Vietnamese translation are provided)

Notes: This symposium will be held on July 27th. You can move to Hue and participate in a study tour on July 28th and in a workshop jointed with 5th International Forum on Green Technology and Management – IFGTM 2015 on July 29th.

Study Tour to Central Vietnam (Hue and Danang)

Date:2014/3/9 (SUN) ~ 3/9(SAT)
Place to visit:Central Vietnam (Danang・Hue・Hoi An・My Son)

JSPS Core to Core Program organize a study tour in Indochina region for the purpose of researchers’ exchange and training for the young researchers.
The study tour in AF2013 will take you to the Central Vietnam where you can see the rapid urbanization, agricultural/fishery based livelihood in rural areas, and World Cultural Heritages. The tour will offers the opportunities for visit various environment-related facilities and sites, to interact with the researchers from the Vietnamese universities, and to meet the students and faculty members from the other Japanese universities for networking.

In collaboration with Hue University, JSPS Core to Core Program: “The First International Symposium on Formulation of the cooperation hub for global environmental studies in Indochina region” and “6th Inter-University Workshop on Education and Research Collaboration in Indochina Region” will be held in Hoi An on 16 September, 2013.  The purpose of this symposium is to review our past research and educational achievements in Vietnam and Indo-china regions and to discuss and exchange ideas for the potentials of international and inter-disciplinary research collaboration.
