KU-HU Collaboration
In the field of environmental studies, Kyoto University has established collaborative relationship with Hue University since 2004. Guraduate Schol of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES), Kyoto University in cooperation with Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) initiated "Education and Research Cooperation on Enviornment an Disaster Management for Human Security in Asia" (2005-2009) and implemented JICA grassroots projects on "Enhancing Community Resilience and Livelihood Security to Cope with Natural Disasters in Central Vietnam" (2006-2013). With the progress of thse collaborative activities, Kyoto University and Hue University concluded "General Memorandum for Academic Cooperation and Exchange" in 2007. In 2008, we launched five-year Environmenta Management Leader (EML) Program (2008-2012) especially to provide various educational opportunities for students form Japan and Vietnman
