For more than 10 years, we had very successful collaboration between Kyoto University and Vietnamese Universities especially universities in Hanoi, Hue and Danang. This year, we have a chance to hold a workshop for summarizing our activities with Vietnam. The objectives of this workshop are to summarize the researches works by Vietnamese students in Kyoto University, and to summarize Kyoto University's research projects in Vietnam. The workshop started with welcome address and guests' introduction from Assist. Prof. Hidenori Harada. Prof. Shigeo Fujii, a EML program leader announced the opening remarks. In session 1, Assist. Prof. Ayako Fujieda summarized the researches works by Vietnamese students in Kyoto University. She also introduced some of Vietnamese students in GSGES. In this session, we had four Vietnamese students presented their researches work: Tran Thanh Duc, Nguyen Ngoc Tung, Dinh Quang Hung and Nguyen Thi Thu Hien. In session 2, Assist. Prof. Chinagarn Kunacheva presented Kyoto University's research projects in Vietnam followed by the presentation from six students: Yoshiko Matsuda, Keisuke Imada, Yuya Tsubakino, Michiya Kodera, Yuichi Kimoto and Hiroki Tomita.
The following session was the last session in the workshop with poster viewing and discussion. The valuable discussion on their researches and activities had been done throughout the workshop. Finally, Prof. Shigeo Fujii gave the summary and closing remarks. This workshop was closed with great success.
