【Exchange visit】Lean each other for farmers

Hello all.

Previously, Kapokolo Group received some training including the market survey, but before the market survey, they visited Umoza Farmers Group.

This Umoza Farmers Group is a MASHEP (About SHEP, click here) participating farmers and has recently started its activities as an agricultural cooperative. They mainly sell tomatoes and peppers to supermarkets and hotels in Mzuzu. With money from the sale of their crops and support from other organizations, they are now further expanding their activities such as greenhouses, large fields, and fish ponds.

This time, the aim is to further motivate the farmers by interacting with this already successful group.

The Umoza Farmers Group gave a presentation on how the group started, how MASHEP has contributed to the growth of the group and a supplementary explanation of the previous training.

The Kapokolo Group farmers listened attentively, taking notes and asking lots of questions.
