Certificates issuance at the GSGES office takes approximately 7 working days from the receipt of application.

For Residents in JAPAN

1) By Convenience Store Certificate Issuance service

Make an account from below, and obtain certificates at convenience stores in Japan.
Issuance fees per copy required.

2) At the GSGES office counter

Bring the completed request form (Word/PDF) for certificates to the GSGES office counter during office working hours.
To collect certificates, bring your ID such as a residence card or a passport. To ask a representative to collect the certificates, send copies of the letter of attorney with signature (free format) and applicant’s ID to the GSGES office in advance. When the representative collects the certificates, bring the letter of attorney and a copy of the representative’s ID.

3) By Domestic Mail

Mail the following to the GSGES office
1. Completed request form (Word/PDF) for certificates
2. Copy of your residence card, both sides
3. A self-addressed return envelope, 120mm wide ×235mm long with stamps affixed
For sealed certificates, provide an envelope of K2(240×332mm), and stamps.

For Residents outside JAPAN

1) By International Mail

Mail the following to the GSGES office
1. Completed request form (Word/PDF) for certificates
2. Copy of your passport
3. A self-addressed return envelope, 120mm wide ×235mm long
4. International reply coupon.

2) By email

Email the following in PDF format to the GSGES office.
1. Completed request form (Word/PDF) for certificates
2. Copy of your passport
3. A prepaid waybill
4. A commercial invoice if applicable
